Hey, I'm Dada Kehinde

I am an indigenous Nigerian visual artist from Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government area of Oyo State, born in 1971. I studied painting and decoration at Government Technical College Saki, Oyo state, Nigeria, and earned my Fine Art (ND) from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Eruwa. I was honored with the Best Artist of the Year Award in 1995 at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Eruwa, and received the Best Corper of the Year Award in 1999 during my NYSC in Kaduna State.

I served as the former General Secretary of the Society of Nigerian Artists, SNA FCT, and currently, I'm the chairman of the Association of Professional Creative Artists and Designers in Nigeria (APCAD FCT). I'm known for using visual art as an educational tool to tackle corruption and other societal vices, making my art an efficient communication tool that transcends potential barriers such as language and culture.

I was the creative art consultant for the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity on their campaign against irregular migration. I also voluntarily organized a solo art exhibition for the Federal Ministry of Agriculture on its 'Fish for All' project in August 2006 at Le Meridien Hotel, now Nicon Luxury Hotel. I coordinated visual art exhibitions organized by the National Library of Nigeria, both for Nigeria at 50 in October 2011 (Musa Ya’adua Centre C.B.D) and the centenary celebration (National Library, Area 2, Garki Abuja). Additionally, I coordinated the art exhibition for the Nigeria Tourism, Cultural & Economic Development Summit in Abuja 2014 at the International Conference Centre event park. As the Society of Nigerian Artists FCT's General Secretary, I was part of the team that led artists from Nigeria to Art Expo New York, United States of America – Pier 94, in April 2014 and April 2015. I also participated in the four-day exhibition at the UN headquarters in New York, tagged the ‘Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) Art Exhibition,’ organized by the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the UN in collaboration with the Nigerian consulate in New York and Landmark Kreations, a private firm. I am known as the inventor of acrylic on lithographic plates. Currently, I am practicing in New York, United States of America.

In 2020, I made a Post-Pandemic Era Art Presentation on the influence of Visual Arts in Mental Health as a community development project with the youths of RCCG Church, Bronx, NY. I also organized a Post-Pandemic Era Art Exhibition as a community development project with the youths at Circle of Dreams - Family Enrichment Center, High-Bridge, Bronx, NY. In 2019, I participated in the UN Sustainable Development Goals Art Exhibition in New York, and in 2018, I was part of a Group Art Exhibition on Cultural Diversity at X Gallery, NY.
